About Us

Local 128 was organized on September 15th, 1892!!

We are located in Asheville, NC the heart of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.

We represent (ART) Asheville Rides Transit  bus operators and Garage employees, currently we have 50 Bus operators and 12 garage employees giving our total number of membership holding steadily at 40 bothers and sisters, with more inquiring about joining! We are seeking to start a mentorship program and an improved and enclosed operator workspace by partnering with the ATU International. Very exciting prospects are drawing nearer!

ATU 128 is currently involved with RFP process and evaluation in Asheville. As we seek accountability, respect, and high quality management, we hold strong in solidarity locally and with utmost respect for each other.
